Delete your iGHOSTA account

You can delete your iGHOSTA account and data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1: delete inside the app (fastest)

• Open iGHOSTA and go to Profile → Delete account.
• Confirm. If you signed in a long time ago, the app may ask you to log out and sign in again with Google first, then delete.
• Your profile, username, friend requests and stored messages are removed from our servers.

Option 2: ask us to delete it

If you cannot open the app, email support@ighosta.com from the Google account you used to sign in, with the subject "Delete my iGHOSTA account" and your @username. We delete the account within 15 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

• Profile: username, display name, bio, profile photo and encryption public key.
• Friend requests and block lists.
• Encrypted messages and images stored for your chats.
• Your sign-in record in our authentication service.

What may be kept

• Reports submitted about abuse (user IDs, reason and time) and limited security logs, only as long as needed to keep users safe and meet legal duties.
• Copies already received by other people in their own chats cannot be removed by us.
• Backups held by Google may take a short time to clear.
